20 years ago, the National Education Association (NEA) decided to do something BIG to get kids excited about reading. They called it NEA's Read Across America. Launched and celebrated annually on Dr. Seuss's birthday, March 2, it was - and still is - the largest celebration of reading this country has ever seen.
The Sacred Heart School Library celebrates all week with plenty of Dr. Seuss' beloved stories. Our featured stories for grades 1-8 will be Oh the Places You'll Go! and Thidwick the Big Hearted Moose. For PreK and Kindergarten, we will be reading such favorites as Mr. Brown can Moo! and If I Ran the Zoo.
