My name is Mrs. Hopkins and I am the Middle School Science teacher. I live with my husband, two children and two very rambunctious goldendoodles. I love to garden and to read, although most of my free time is spent at baseball fields with my family.
I have my Masters of Science in Biology from Georgian Court University, with a concentration on cellular and molecular genetics. I have taught at the college level, and have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical world.
I love Sacred Heart because of the wonderful community of people, as well as the values of kindness and compassion that are present in every brick of the building. Being an alumna of Sacred Heart myself, this school is very near and dear to my heart.
I love my job because I am able to share my passion with students every day. We get to explore together, ask big questions, and learn more about the world around us. My favorite activities are any day we get to do hands-on labs!
My favorite Bible verse is Psalm 111:2 “Great are the works of the Lord;
They are studied by all who delight in them.”
