Dear Parents,
          Your child will be REQUIRED to read at least four second grade level (or above) books , per month (200 pages total). The books should contain about 50 pages or more. This will be worth a reading quiz. Books can be read at school and at home. You write the title of the book and the number of pages on the log sheet. Please be sure to total the pages and sign the bottom of the log. Your child will then pick one of the books that they read and write a short report, found on the back of the log sheet. If you should misplace their log sheet/report, there is a copy of the log and of the report under “My Resources” on my class website. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
