Service Learning allows our students to embrace Jesus’ teachings. Conducting service is a powerful, transformative way to help children of all ages understand that they are valuable pieces of a broader community puzzle with the power to give back and improve the world around them.
Sacred Heart School encourages both internal service on campus and external service in the surrounding community. Beginning with the class of 2027, Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be required to volunteer 10 hours per year, 30 hours prior to 8th grade Graduation. There will be many opportunities available at and through school to fulfill this requirement.
Middle School students are expected to participate in community service activities each year. The content of these activities are subject to the approval of the Middle School Religion Teacher. Students are responsible to log their own hours onto the Service Learning Form found on the Middle School Religion Class Page and follow up with the Middle School Religion Teacher.
